xdof launched with $70m in funding to provide the data pipelines, collection tools, and annotation systems needed to train physical ai models. while llms relied on public internet data, robotics requires teleoperation and egocentric data to bridge the gap between digital models and physical interaction. the startup is already working with 20 customers, including frontier labs, and partnered with uc berkeley to release abc, the largest collection of high-quality robot manipulation data available to academia.
